Temple Israel, host to almost 100 years of worship in Alameda, is partnering again this year with East Bay Artisans to hold Holiday Fest next month.
The holiday shopping event spans the temple’s social hall, and the Harbor Bay Isle community center, both adjacent to the Harbor Bay Landing shopping center on Bay Farm Island.
Confirmed participating vendors include Body by M, HiHat, Honour Brand, Ruby Ribbon, Scentsy, Twin Bee Apiary, and Alameda’s Poet Laureate Julia Park Tracey.
Collectibles include re-purposed items and even kimonos and haori. Fifty vendors in all featuring local artists, authors, crafters and home-based business owners.
Items include accessories, artwork, ceramics, children clothing, floral designs, handmade greeting cards, honey, jam, knitwear, and more.
Two cafes will be in operation. Gift cards, face-painting, bake sale, yoga (weather permitting), a blacksmith to sharpen your tools, and a Coin Mob to take your loose change and donate to a local public school.
Shoppers can preview items on the events Facebook page, “Alameda Holiday Fest.”
The free event takes place on Sunday, November 15th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Parking is free in the Harbor Bay Landing parking lot.
