The NFL and FAA are advising that increased private jet activity should start tomorrow, Saturday January 30th, with game-day, February 7th, and February 8th, being peak days; air traffic volume is expected to approach holiday travel peak volumes.
During the week, particularly during peak times, Oakland Airport’s North Field will likely see departures, putting private aircraft on a flight path over Bay Farm Island homes that typically see lower volumes.
Residents should expect jet departures from both the North Field and South Field, with it’s longer runway, at various times from January 30th through February 9th, but especially during the following times:
- February 7, 2016, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- February 8, 2016, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The FAA promises to keep residents notified of changes to this schedule through www.flyquietoak.com and other regular advisory channels.
Traffic on Doolittle Drive near the airport is likely to be higher on peak days as well.
