Alameda County DUI Checkpoint This Week

On Thursday, April 21, 2016, the Hayward Area of the California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint in the Unincorporated San Leandro and Hayward areas of Alameda County from 7:00 P.M. to 3:00 A.M.

The checkpoint will be clearly marked and placed on a roadway with an established DUI problem or concern. The goal of the CHP is to ensure the safe passage of each and every motorist by targeting roadways where there is a high frequency of intoxicated or unlicensed drivers.

Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
