New York Times bestselling author Patrick Rothfuss will participate by video chat in the Alameda Free Library’s series of talks with authors on May 11.

He will discuss his series, The Kingkiller Chronicle.

Rothfuss’s first novel, The Name of the Wind, was a 2007 Quill Award winner and a Publishers Weekly Best Book of the Year. Its sequel, The Wise Man’s Fear, debuted at #1 on The New York Times bestseller chart and won the David Gemmell Legend Award. His novels have also appeared on NPR’s Top 100 Science Fiction/Fantasy Books list and Locus’ Best 21st Century Fantasy Fiction Novels list. Lionsgate recently won a bidding war to adapt his bestselling series into a TV show and movie.

This event will be held at the main library, 1550 Oak Street, and there will be an opportunity for audience Q&A.
