The Alameda library will hold a Harry Potter party. (Google Street View)
The library’s Harry Potter Party and Book Swap is set for Saturday, July 30th, one day before the script is to be released.
Note that this event is for teens only.
The party runs from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Regina K. Stafford Room at the main library on Oak Street.
Events include a game of chance that has participants tasting jelly beans – but they don’t know if they’ll get a sweet or foul one.
The book swap takes place after the games. Participants are encouraged to bring teen and young adult books to exchange with other readers.
“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” is to be released on Sunday, July 31st.
The script is based on a story by J.K. Rowling and will feature Harry and his friends as adults.
The story will be presented on stage in London’s West End and released as a script worldwide.
