School Board To Consider Updated Executive Management Salary Schedule

Earlier this week the Alameda Unified School District announced a tentative contract agreement with the union representing office, technical workers and paraprofessionals.

Tomorrow night, the board of trustees for the Alameda Unified School District will consider an executive management salary schedule reflecting a 3.11 percent increase.

The staff report for the item, an executive and administrative salary schedule for the 2016 to 2017 fiscal year, indicates the increase will cost the district’s fund $321,232 in the first year, and $336,813 in the second year.

Under the proposed schedule, the district’s chief academic officer, chief business officer, chief human resource officer, chief student support officer and general counsel positions would work 261 day of the year for a starting salary of $158,633.11 which would step-up year-over-year to $190,098.25 after 10 years.

The co-ordinator of employee and labor relations, director of fiscal services, director of maintenance, operations and facilities positions would work 225 days per year and start at $105,640.59.
