Funded by Alameda County Transportation Commission’s Safe Routes To Schools program, Measure B and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission’s Climate Initiatives program, and staffed by Cycles of Change, the BikeMobile can fix flats, adjust brakes and gears, and replace broken or worn out parts like chains, seats, and tires.
BikeMobile cannot, however, replace missing gears or wheels.
Mechanics working on your bike will also provide tips and guidance on maintenance, and a style station will provide colored tape to decorate your ride.
The session runs at the the Alameda Free Library, 1550 Oak Street, on Saturday, August 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
There will be a Fix-A-Flat workshop at 10:30 a.m.
Repairs are offered on a first-come-first-served basis.
