The Frank Bette Center was temporarily closed through the summer, to support renovations; now, tickets are on sale for a re-opening event.
Officials promise “live poetry readings, hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar serving wines and beers, and a silent auctions of art, gifts and unique experiences,” with all proceeds supporting ongoing operations.
Early bird tickets for $15 are sold out. General admission tickets are available for $20.
Unsold tickets will be sold at the door for $30.
The event is set for Friday, September 30, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Frank Bette Center at 1601 Paru Street, Alameda.
