Library to Host Class on Growing Succulents

The Alameda Free Library is hosting a class on growing succulent plants.

Succulents are featured in the East Bay Municipal Utility District’s book, Plants and Landscapes for Summer-Dry Climates and are considered drought-tolerant landscaping plants.

Lori Caldwell, a landscaping consultant based in Martinez, California will teach the class which explores the varieties of succulents and the ways to propagate and care for the plants.

Participants are encouraged to bring cuttings to share and there will be cuttings to take home.

The class is scheduled for the Alameda Free Library, Regina Stafford Community Room, on Saturday, March 11th at 2:30 p.m.

This class is for teen and adults, only. RSVP through the library reference desk.
