On account of the rain, the city’s annual spring egg scramble has been postponed to next weekend.

The event takes place at the Crab Cove picnic area on Saturday, April 15th.

Egg scramble areas will be divided by age group:

  • Walking to 2 year olds
  • 3-4 year olds
  • 5-6 year olds
  • 7-8 year olds
  • 9-12 year olds

There will be lawn games, arts and crafts, photos with the Easter bunny ($3), and the East Bay Regional Parks District mobile visitor center.

The Alameda Youth Committee will provide snacks for purchase.

Activities begin at 10 a.m. with egg scrambles scheduled for 11:15 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. Free parking is available at the Otis and Westline Drive parking lot.

The event is sponsored by the East Bay Regional Park District, the Rotary Club of Alameda, the Alameda Friends of the Parks Foundation, the Alameda Recreation and Park Department and the Alameda Youth Committee.
