A rebound in property values and other levies approved by voters last year are contributing to higher tax bills. I have a feeling my taxes would have been in the 16% or higher increase if we didn’t finally get the senior break on one of the AUSD taxes. and I believe the AUSD owes us for back taxes where we filed for the deduction and did not receive it.

It’s annoying that a bill insert encourages online payment, but then charges an extra 2.5% for credit card payments and $3 for bank transfers.
