Measure B, What is it?
Measure B, a.k.a. the Alameda Point Development Initiative, or the Alameda Point Revitalization Initiative is a 300 page ballot initiative written by SunCal, the assigned master developer for Alameda Point. It provides for 5,000 homes at the west end of Alameda and would give SunCal a tremendous amount of control over development of Alameda Point – roughly 1/3rd of the island of Alameda – and over $200 million in tax subsidies, while legally committing SunCal to very little of the benefits to existing residents that they are promising. Get more background and an electronic copy of the initiative here.
