We took the tract-by-tract census data (the numbers in parenthesis in the chart are the census tract) and associated it with AUSD school boundaries as best we could, to show the overall demographic breakdown of Alameda’s population in relation to the local elementary schools.

A ‘school 1/school 2′ designator indicates that the census overlaps roughly evenly across two schools. A ‘school1 (school 2)’ designator indicates that the cenus tract is predominantly in the ‘school 1′ district and to a lesser degree in ‘school 2′
