By Erica Madison Budget cuts have forced the city to cut a lot of services, but there are still resources to help low income Alamedans with their electricity bill. However a recent report reveals, these programs aren’t helping as many people as it could. [...] At its regular meeting on July 20th, the City of Alameda’s Public Utilities Board elected officers for the 2010 Fiscal Year. Mr. Gregory Hamm, Ph.D. was elected President, and Ms. Ann L. McCormick, P.E. was elected as the Board’s Vice President. [...] We sent some questions back to Alameda Municipal Power in response to their budget announcement the other day. We asked if the $2.8 million transfer to the City’s general fund was a re-payment of either or both of a couple of outstanding loans. AMP responds.
