The Alameda Police Department announced yesterday that Julie Vinall, the widow of Darin Vinall, found dead in his Parfait Lane home last December, is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whomever is responsible for Darin Vinall’s death. Yesterday, troubled telecom equipment maker UTStarcom announced that they would move from Alameda to Beijing, China. The Pacific Business News of Honolulu is reporting that UTStarcom, a telecommunications equipment manufacturer with headquarters on Bay Farm Island in Alameda, and operations in China, has been fined $3 million to settle bribery charges over trips to Hawaii.
