Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter and the Humane Society of Alameda have reached an agreement to keep Alameda’s animal shelter services inside Alameda, by partnering with the City of Alameda.
Yesterday, the Alameda Police Department announced that the City of Alameda has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter and the Humane Society of Alameda that would allow the two groups to transfer operation of the Alameda Animal Shelter to a non-profit.
