Tomorrow night, at the Alameda Library, the Alameda Public Affairs Program will host Professor Jack Rasmus to talk about President Obama’s jobs program and the deepening global economic crisis. Tomorrow, Saturday, February 12th, at the Alameda Free Library at 7:00 p.m., the Alameda Public Affairs Forum will sponsor a hearing on net neutrality and the Internet – will the information superhighway be a freeway or a toll road? Tomorrow night, the Alameda Public Affairs Forum will hear from Dr. Susan Jacobson, a specialist in infectious diseases at Kaiser Fremont, on the AIDS crisis in Africa. Dr. Barry Schutz, an Africa specialist who teaches at Stanford University will chair the meeting, and Lejla Ahmetspahic, an Alameda High School student who spent time in Africa this past summer, will give a presentation on the Matibabu Clinic.
