Yesterday, Action Alameda News published a letter regarding allegations against Alameda Hospital’s Dr. Robert Deutsch. By press time, Dr. Deutsch had not responded to a request for comment on the allegations. However, after publication, we received a response from Dr. Deutsch.

Allegations of Abuse of Power and Conflict of Interest Against Alameda Hospital’s Dr. Robert DeutschLast week, Action Alameda News received a copy, for publication, of a letter, below, addressed to the Alameda Health Care District Board of Directors. Action Alameda News tried to reach Dr. Robert Deutsch of Alameda Hospital for comment but we’ve not yet received a response. Documents provided to Action Alameda News indicate that the California Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) is investigating Alameda Hospital doctor and Alameda Health Care District Board Member Dr. Robert Deutsch following citizen allegations of conflict of interest. Dr. Robert Deutsch, M.D., a member of the Alameda Health Care District Board of Directors, which oversees Alameda Hospital, has denied that his presence on the board of the District which has oversight over the Hospital with whom he contracts to provide services to represents a conflict of interest. |
